An audit trail for the whole season

Sooner or later, a parent or a board member asks: “how was this seat assigned?” With a spreadsheet, that question ruins your week. With Sorteo, every step of the season was recorded the moment it happened.

The draw is a public record

Entries are locked with a cryptographic commitment before the draw, the randomness comes from a public beacon, and the transcript publishes every ranking and every cutoff: anonymous, by entry code. It isn’t a report about the draw: it is the draw, replayable by anyone.

The waitlist writes its own history

Every offer, acceptance, decline, expiry, and reassignment is recorded with its timestamp. When a seat passes to the next family, that wasn’t someone’s hallway decision. It was the automatic cascade, in the locked lottery order, and the record shows it.

Every email is on the books

Every notification sent (receipts, offers, reminders, decisions) is logged with its delivery status. If a send fails, it’s retried, and the retry is logged too. “The family says they never got it” stops being a dead end.

Reviews leave a trail

Every priority claim and every grade placement carries its decision (who approved or denied it, and when), with the family’s decision email as the receipt.

And all of it exports

Entries export to CSV whenever you like, and the draw’s transcript is public by design. Your data stays yours, and so does the paper trail.
